Blizzard has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming in-game housing system in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Although the expansion is slated for release after The War Within as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews indicate an unprecedented level of customization that has sparked enthusiasm among the player base.
A recent developer blog showcased in-game videos demonstrating the intricacies of furniture placement. The system utilizes a grid system with automatic snapping, allowing players to align items effortlessly. Moreover, larger objects such as shelves or tables can be adorned with smaller accessories that remain securely attached even when repositioned.
The housing system offers two distinct modes: a Basic Mode designed for straightforward organization, and an Advanced Mode catering to creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects along all three axes and stack them in imaginative ways, facilitating the creation of complex and visually appealing interiors.

Another standout feature is the ability to scale objects to suit different character sizes. This means gnomes can craft cozy, intimate spaces, whereas larger races like tauren can design more expansive layouts. Additionally, specific furniture pieces developed for the housing system will support recoloring, although legacy assets might not include this option.
With World of Warcraft: Midnight still several months away, Blizzard is diligently sharing glimpses of upcoming content to keep the community engaged and eagerly anticipating the game’s future enhancements.
