Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has addressed player feedback regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies Directed Mode. The January 9th update reverses a controversial alteration to zombie spawn delays, restoring them to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. This decision follows community concerns that the previous change negatively impacted kill farming and camo challenge completion.
The update also includes:
-
Citadelle des Morts Fixes: Multiple bug fixes for the Citadelle des Morts map in Directed Mode, addressing issues with quest progression, guidance inaccuracies, and visual effects. A crash bug related to the Void Sheath Augment and Elemental Swords has also been resolved.
-
Shadow Rift Buffs: The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod receives significant enhancements. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment) have all been increased, and the cooldown timer has been reduced by 25%.
Further improvements are planned for the upcoming Season 2 update on January 28th. This includes addressing remaining bugs, such as the Vermin double-attack issue.
Additional Patch Notes Highlights:
-
Global Changes: Fixes for Maya's "Joyride" skin visibility, Events tab visual issues, and in-game audio problems.
-
Multiplayer: Increased XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light mode and various stability improvements.
-
Zombies LTM Adjustments: The Dead Light, Green Light LTM now includes Liberty Falls and increases the round cap to 20.
Treyarch emphasizes their commitment to creating a fun and rewarding Zombies experience, acknowledging that not all initial changes meet this goal. The swift reversal of the Directed Mode spawn delay demonstrates their responsiveness to player feedback.
