RuneScape's new Group Ironman mode is now live! RuneScape members can team up with two to five friends for a challenging cooperative experience, tackling iconic quests, intense boss battles, and a whole new set of achievements.
What is Group Ironman Mode?
This hardcore mode retains many of the classic Ironman restrictions, but adds a collaborative element. No Grand Exchange, no handouts, and no XP boosts – you'll rely entirely on teamwork to gather resources, craft gear, level up skills, and conquer foes. Group Ironman allows shared participation in specific minigames, Distractions and Diversions, and even unlocks unique group-exclusive content. A new island, the Iron Enclave, serves as the dedicated home base for Group Ironman players.

For those seeking an even greater test of skill, RuneScape also introduces Competitive Group Ironman. This mode emphasizes self-reliance within the group, prohibiting collaboration with players outside your team. Several group-oriented activities are restricted, including Blast Furnace, Conquest, Deathmatch, Fishing Trawler, Fist of Guthix, The Great Orb Project, Heist, Pest Control, Soul Wars, Stealing Creation, and Trouble Brewing.
