LEGO CEO Niels Christiansen has unveiled exciting plans for the company's future, emphasizing a significant expansion into the digital realm by developing video games. LEGO aims to craft gaming experiences independently and through strategic partnerships, aligning with their commitment to engaging children of all ages across both digital and physical platforms. Christiansen expressed confidence in this direction, stating, "We are confident that, as long as we operate under the LEGO brand, we aim to create experiences for children of all ages across both digital and physical platforms. Developing games internally is something we are actively pursuing."
This strategic pivot towards in-house game development does not preclude LEGO from continuing to license its brand to third-party developers. Just last month, journalist Jason Schreier reported that TT Games, renowned for its LEGO-themed titles, is currently developing a new LEGO game, possibly linked to one of Warner Bros.' renowned franchises.

Currently, LEGO's most notable gaming venture is its ongoing collaboration with Epic Games. The introduction of a LEGO-themed mode in Fortnite last year became a standout success, quickly gaining popularity among gamers worldwide.
Over the past two decades, LEGO has been closely associated with the adventure game series developed by TT Games. Although new projects from the studio have been relatively quiet, rumors are circulating about a new LEGO Harry Potter game, inspired by the commercial success of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Further demonstrating LEGO's versatility in the gaming industry, the company partnered with 2K Games to launch LEGO 2K Drive, a racing game released last year. This move highlights LEGO's commitment to exploring diverse gaming genres and enhancing its digital footprint.
