Freedom Wars Remastered: Enhanced Gameplay and New Features Revealed
A new trailer for Freedom Wars Remastered showcases its revamped gameplay and impressive additions. This action RPG, set in a dystopian world ravaged by resource depletion, tasks players with battling colossal mechanical creatures known as Abductors. The core loop remains familiar: fight Abductors, harvest materials, upgrade gear, and repeat the cycle with increasingly powerful weaponry. The game, originally a PlayStation Vita exclusive, now launches on January 10th for PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC.
The trailer introduces the protagonist, a "Sinner" condemned for the crime of being born, and highlights the mission system. Players undertake various missions, from rescuing citizens to destroying Abductors and securing control systems, either solo or in online co-op.
Significant Improvements in Freedom Wars Remastered:
The remaster boasts a significant visual upgrade. PS5 and PC versions enjoy a stunning 4K (2160p) resolution at 60 FPS, while PS4 offers 1080p at 60 FPS, and the Switch version runs at 1080p, 30 FPS. Beyond visuals, gameplay is faster-paced due to enhanced movement speed and new attack cancellation mechanics.
Crafting and upgrading have received a complete overhaul. The interfaces are more intuitive, and modules are now freely attachable and detachable. A new module synthesis feature allows players to upgrade modules using resources gained from rescuing citizens. Finally, a challenging "Deadly Sinner" difficulty mode caters to experienced players, and all original customization DLC is included from the outset. The game's enhanced graphics, faster pace, and improved systems promise a more refined and engaging experience for both veterans and newcomers.
