Halo Infinite's competitive scene gets a boost with the upcoming release of S&D Extraction, a new game mode slated for 2025. While Halo Infinite has seen its share of attention diverted to other titles, this strategic addition promises a revitalized competitive experience.
Inspired by Counter-Strike, S&D Extraction introduces a unique twist on the classic bomb defusal formula. Two teams of four players face off, one attacking to plant a device, the other defending. Teams switch roles after each round, with the first to six round wins claiming victory.
A key element is the dynamic economic system. Players earn in-game currency through objectives, using it to purchase equipment at the start of each round. Pricing is performance-based, fluctuating throughout the match. All gear is lost at the end of each round. Expect cheaper options early on, escalating costs mid-game, and potentially even higher prices later if players strategically save their earnings. Respawning after elimination will also be a purchasable option.
S&D Extraction's launch in 2025 anticipates a significant impact on Halo Infinite's competitive landscape, offering a fresh and engaging challenge for seasoned and new players alike.
