Tarneeb is a two-team card game. Teams sit opposite each other at a table, using a standard 52-card deck. Play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player estimates the number of "Allmat" (points) their team can win in each round.
The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" starts. They throw a type of paper onto the floor; other players must throw the same type. The player who throws the winning paper continues. If a player doesn't have the matching paper type, they forfeit and the next player gets the "Tarneeb" option. "Tarneeb" papers are more powerful than other papers; the player who throws the strongest "Tarneeb" paper wins unless a stronger "Tarneeb" paper is thrown.
The round ends when all players have played. Points are tallied. A team must meet or exceed their bid to gain points. If successful, they add the number of "Allmat" won to their score; the other team gets no points. If unsuccessful, their points are deducted, and the "Allmat" won by the other team are added to *their* score.
If a team gets a "WIG 13" (13 points) without bidding for 13, 16 points are added to their total. If they bid for and earn 13, 26 points are added. If a team bids for "WIG 13" and fails, 16 points are deducted.
The game ends when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more; that team wins.
