After two failed launches and months of anticipation, *Rune Slayer* has finally arrived, and it's nothing short of glorious. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned veteran, diving into *Rune Slayer* can be a bit overwhelming. Fear not, we've put together a comprehensive guide to help you navigate your adventure in *Rune Slayer* with ease.
Rune Slayer Beginner Tips
Here are some essential tips we wish we'd known from the start to make your journey smoother and more enjoyable.
Do not randomly attack other players
However, **attacking other players earns you a bounty**. The more you kill, the larger your bounty becomes, and the higher your bounty, the **more items you'll drop upon death**. Essentially, you can turn the game into full-loot PvP by attacking others, but it's risky. Our advice? **Avoid attacking other players** unless you have a compelling reason or a supportive group to back you up.
Craft Bags ASAP
To craft a Cotton Bag, **gather Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south**—though be cautious of mobs in the south. Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots, so prioritize crafting these as soon as possible.
Your pets don’t actually die
Bonus Tip: To **quickly heal your pet**, store and unstore it at the stable master. You get one free slot, so make use of it.
Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)
To manage this efficiently, **accept every quest you encounter**. Don't hesitate to grab everything from the Job board too. Completing multiple quests simultaneously is much easier than tackling them one by one. You might even complete several at once without realizing it, as we did when we returned to Wayshire with three quests ready to turn in.
Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)
Join a Guild
While *Rune Slayer* is friendly to solo players, you'll eventually encounter **tougher enemies** designed for group combat. The simplest way to find a group is by **joining a guild**.
Use the general chat to express your need for a guild, or explore the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server to find one. Having allies will make tackling those big baddies much easier.
**And that's all there is to it. Have fun playing *Rune Slayer* and if you haven't started already, check out the *Rune Slayer* Trello and Discord.**
