Battlefield Studios, in partnership with Electronic Arts (EA), has launched Battlefield Labs, a revolutionary player feedback platform designed to directly involve the community in shaping future Battlefield installments. Announced on February 3, 2025, this initiative marks a significant step towards collaborative game development.
A New Era of Player Influence
The upcoming Battlefield game is entering a crucial development phase, and Battlefield Studios believes community input is paramount. Selected players from European and North American servers will participate in the initial phase of Battlefield Labs, providing invaluable feedback on core gameplay elements. While participation is initially limited, Battlefield Studios assures the broader community will receive regular updates throughout the testing process.

Gameplay Elements Under Scrutiny
Battlefield Labs will focus on testing key gameplay pillars, beginning with core combat and destruction mechanics. This will be followed by balancing and feedback on weapons, vehicles, gadgets, and overall map design, including squad play within existing modes.
The testing will encompass established modes like Conquest and Breakthrough. Conquest emphasizes large-scale battles centered around capturing control points, with a ticket-based system determining victory. Breakthrough features attackers and defenders vying for sector control, utilizing a similar ticket system with additional rewards for eliminating remaining enemies after a sector capture.
The class system will also undergo refinement based on player feedback. While confident in their progress, Battlefield Studios recognizes the invaluable contribution of community insights in achieving the optimal balance of form, function, and feel.
