In the cutthroat world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 competitive multiplayer, countless final kills are captured and shared online. But few are as spectacular as this one.
The Ricochet Blades, unique ammo for the D1.3 Sector secondary weapon (introduced with the controversial Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event), quickly became infamous for their unpredictable, bouncing trajectory. Affectionately nicknamed "pizzas" by the community, these blades are capable of some truly wild feats.
Player kev99gh achieved viral fame with a hardcore Search and Destroy final kill on the Lowtown map. The clip shows a Ricochet Blade launched from cover, bouncing out of the map, then miraculously back in, scoring a one-hit kill on an unsuspecting enemy peeking from a window.
Longest ricochet blade ever. Bounced a pizza out of the map. Final kill cam.

kev99gh's incredible shot is arguably the longest Ricochet Blade kill ever recorded, due to its improbable journey outside the map's boundaries. The video showcases kev99gh's precision aiming, followed by a switch to the overhead map view to track the blade's trajectory as it arcs around the map's edge before returning for the kill.
These elaborate trick shots aren't just dumb luck. Redditor SpawnTubing, who shared kev99gh's clip, explains that skilled players "look for and practice common camping spots." Commenters also highlight the impeccable timing, noting the enemy player's peek coinciding perfectly with the "pizza's" arrival—a moment familiar to any seasoned Black Ops 6 player.
The Ricochet Blades have spawned a new meta, with numerous (though less impressive) bounce kills appearing online. One example shows a blade achieving a kill after multiple bounces:

However, not everyone is thrilled. Some players find the bouncing blades frustrating. Their complaints haven't gone unheard; developer Treyarch recently buffed the Ricochet Blades' physics and bounce speeds, making them one-hit kill weapons on contact. The relevant patch notes are as follows:
D1.3 Sector
Our initial design for the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades revolved around quickly launching many high-speed blades, meant to perform best blind firing into enclosed spaces. We have been following your feedback and agree that, in practice, the use cases for this ammo type are too low. The Ricochet Blades will now do 100 damage to enable one-hit kills, and to compensate we are lowering the fire rate and projectile speed. We think the popularity of this ammo type will see some new interest with these changes and look forward to seeing more of your cross-map killcams in MP.
Ricochet Blades
- Increased damage from 75 to 100.
- Decreased rate of fire.
- Decreased projectile velocity.
- Improved bouncing speeds and physics.
With Season 3 and Verdansk's return to Warzone on the horizon, the reign of the Ricochet Blades looks set to continue, perhaps even intensify.
