Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters
Rifts are rarely good news in games, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos with its new tactical collectible card game (CCG), Eerie Worlds. This highly anticipated sequel to Cards, the Universe and Everything offers a monster-filled adventure focused on learning and fun.
The game features a visually diverse roster of monsters inspired by real-world mythology and folklore from across the globe.
Expect a truly global bestiary, encompassing Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna, Slavic creatures such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, and a host of other chilling figures including Bigfoot, Mothman, and El Chupacabra. Each card provides detailed, researched descriptions, enriching the gameplay experience.
Eerie Worlds introduces four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, adding significant strategic depth. Monsters may share some properties but differ in others, creating diverse tactical options.
Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. The game starts with 160 base cards, but merging unlocks many more, with additional cards planned for the near future.
Avid Games has confirmed the addition of two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds remains engaging even with extensive playtime.
Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card. Battles unfold over nine 30-second turns, demanding strategic decisions regarding mana usage and synergy exploitation.
Dive into the action! Eerie Worlds is available now for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
