Final Fantasy XVI Comes Out on PC September 17th
Square Enix has officially announced that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XVI will launch on PC on September 17th of this year. The announcement brings excitement for fans of the series, as the director suggests a potential shift toward simultaneous releases across multiple platforms.The PC version of Final Fantasy XVI will be available for purchase at $49.99, while the Complete Edition, priced at $69.99, includes both story expansions: Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide. To give players a preview of what’s to come, a playable demo is now live, offering a glimpse into the game’s prologue and a combat-focused "Eikonic Challenge" mode. Any progress made in the demo can be transferred to the full game.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, FFXVI Director Hiroshi Takai shared insights about the PC release, stating, “We’ve optimized the game for higher frame rates, allowing it to reach up to 240fps. Additionally, players can choose from advanced upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS.”
