CD Projekt Red continues supporting Cyberpunk 2077 with another upcoming update this month. Learn what's coming in this potentially final patch for the acclaimed RPG.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 Arrives June 26
During their June 5 REDstreams broadcast, CD Projekt Red announced Patch 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077, scheduled for release on June 26. The developers promised more details would be revealed in an upcoming livestream prior to the patch's launch.
Developer Comments on Upcoming Update
CDPR Global Community Director Marcin Momot confirmed the update via social media, encouraging players to stay tuned for more information. Associate Game Director Pawel Sasko added that the team has been secretly working on this update and will share details when ready.
The Neverending Story of Final Patches
CDPR has previously declared several "final" updates for Cyberpunk 2077, though this upcoming patch may genuinely be the last as the studio shifts focus to Cyberpunk 2. Developers humorously acknowledged during REDstreams that their previous "final" updates weren't actually final.
The studio initially called December 2023's Patch 2.1 the "last major update," coinciding with the Ultimate Edition launch. However, they collaborated with Virtuos for Patch 2.2 in December 2024, introducing additional customization options.
CDPR's History of Continued Support
This pattern mirrors the studio's ongoing support for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. After declaring the December 2022 next-gen update as final, they released Patch 4.04 in July 2023. CDPR recently announced another final update for The Witcher 3 featuring cross-platform mod support to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary.
With Cyberpunk 2 entering pre-production and The Witcher 4's technical demo unveiled, these updates likely mark the true conclusion of support for their predecessors. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, containing the base game, all updates, and Phantom Liberty expansion, is now available on Nintendo's latest handheld system.
