About Our Mission
Originally launched in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road - Shared Responsibility" program was created to promote road safety awareness and encourage responsible driving behaviors. Since January 2023, the "Safe Journey" non-profit organization has taken over operations and management of this important initiative.
How It Works
Any licensed driver aged 18+ can participate by downloading our user-friendly Guardians app to help monitor and report dangerous driving incidents.
The reporting process is simple:
- Activate the app when beginning your trip
- When witnessing traffic violations, initiate documentation
- Choose between voice command or steering wheel Bluetooth button activation
- The system automatically records video evidence with violation details
Document Processing
All reports are reviewed by our trained volunteer analysts with extensive traffic safety expertise. Verified incidents result in:
- Educational notification emails sent to offending drivers
- Secure video links showing documented violations
- Immediate police referral for life-threatening offenses
