miHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Achieves PlayStation Success

ZZZ Cracks the PS5 Top 10
Zenless Zone Zero, a free-to-play action RPG, has quickly gained popularity, recently achieving a top 10 position in the most played PlayStation games, according to Circana's "US Player Engagement Tracker Top 10 Titles" report. The ranking is based on weekly user engagement, excluding playtime data. This places ZZZ alongside gaming heavyweights like Elden Ring and Minecraft.
Launched on July 4th, ZZZ's initial impact was significant, securing a spot in the top 12 of the PS5's top 40 most-played games during its first week. Further success is evidenced by PocketGamer.biz's report showing nearly $52 million in gross player spending ($36.4 million net) on mobile within its first 11 days. Peak daily spending on July 5th reached $7.4 million across the App Store and Google Play.
While not yet matching the overall success of miHoYo's other titles, ZZZ's performance is impressive, placing it among gaming giants like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Roblox. On the Epic Games Store, ZZZ boasts a 4.5/5 star rating, with players highlighting the engaging boss battles and compelling narrative.
Our review of ZZZ awarded it a 76/100, praising its visually stunning graphics and animations. [Link to review]
