Wuthering Waves' Dream Patrols offer engaging combat challenges. While most are straightforward, some, like "Knight in a Storm," prove tricky due to their unique mechanics. This guide focuses on mastering the Knight in a Storm Dream Patrol, ensuring you obtain all chests and resources.
The Knight in a Storm Dream Patrol presents a seemingly simple enemy, but completing all challenge objectives requires specific strategies. This patrol is located in the Shores of Last Breath area, Fagaceae Peninsula (east of Ragunna City). It's marked by a crossed swords icon on your map, visible after activating the region's Resonance Nexus. Teleporting to nearby Tacet Field (Sonata set drop location) provides the quickest access. Note: This area unlocks after completing the "Where Wind Returns to Celestial Realms" quest.
The Knight's combat style mirrors other Rinascita enemies, making the defeat itself easy. The real challenge lies in the objectives:
- Maintain Battle Rank S for over 10 seconds: Achieve this by executing perfect dodges, parries, and abilities (including Intro/Outro skills).
- Perform 3 Interrupting Counterattacks: Successfully parry the Knight's attacks while its weapon is enhanced.
- Immobilize the Knight with Resonance Liberation DMG: Stun the Knight using your character's ultimate ability (depleting the white bar beneath its health).
Mastering the Enhanced Weapon Counter
The Knight enhances its weapon by summoning three swords, selecting one for the buff. During this enhancement, it performs aerial lunge attacks – your prime counterattack opportunity. When the parry indicators above the Knight overlap, use an attack to execute a successful counter. Repeat this three times to complete this objective.
Carlotta players can effectively parry using her jump attack or rifle shots (fired during Resonance Liberation or when possessing Molded Crystal stacks).
