Begin your journey by speaking with Botim, situated south of the Rinascita-Ragunna-Thessaleo Fells northern Resonance Beacon. He'll explain the plight of his family's ancestral site, plagued by shadowy creatures emerging from three ancient towers. Completing his request initiates the Shadow of the Past quest.

Thorncrown Rises Tower Locations

The Shadow of the Past quest is divided into three sub-quests, each involving a different tower:

• Resounding Rise: Northeast Tower.
• Twilight Rise: South Tower.
• Command Rise: Southwest Tower.

Resounding Rise

Locate the Resounding Rise Tower northeast of Thorncrown Rises. Speak with Itzel, positioned east of the tower, to begin. The tower's exploration involves navigating paintings, defeating Abyssal Mercators, collecting supply chests, and solving a painting puzzle. The puzzle solution is as follows:

1. Move the top-left painting to the bottom-right display.
2. Move the painting behind the top-left display to the bottom-left display.
3. Move the top-right painting to the top-left display.
4. Move the painting behind the bottom-right display to the top-right display.

After solving the puzzle and defeating the final Abyssal Mercator, speak with Itzel to receive rewards and weaken a barrier on the Command Rise Tower.

Twilight Rise

Proceed southeast to the Twilight Rise Tower and speak with Insula to enter. Inside, follow the quest markers, unraveling a time loop. This involves investigating marked locations, interacting with Insula, navigating a secret passage, defeating an Abyssal Patricius, and collecting supply chests. Upon completion, the second barrier on the Command Rise Tower weakens.

Command Rise

The final stage, Command Rise, activates after completing the Resounding and Twilight Rises.

1. Speak with Insula and Itzel at the camp northeast of the tower.
2. Utilize the Wingray to reach the tower.
3. Inside, follow quest markers, collect supply chests, use the Grapple to ascend, and defeat enemies.
4. Solve the moving library puzzle to reach the top.
5. Discover Liel's demise, speak with Insula and Itzel, and use the portal to confront the final Abyssal Patricius.

Defeating the final boss rewards you with the Call of the Abyss Rectifier, a Premium Supply chest, the King of Thessaleo Achievement, and the Shadow of the Tower Achievement.
