Summary
World of Warcraft players can now find Alyx in Dornogal to begin the mystery quest for the Detective title. Eleven missing Celebration Crates must be located using clues from Alyx's board. Relocating Alyx ensures players can still earn the Detective title and access related rewards after the anniversary event.
World of Warcraft's 20th-anniversary event has concluded, removing most event activities and NPCs. However, Alyx, the NPC crucial to the Guest Relations mystery questline, remains accessible. Alyx has relocated to the hot springs northwest of the Delver's Headquarters in Dornogal, near Foundation Hall. Alyx, now titled "Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things," retains their clue board indicating the locations of hidden Celebration Crates. Collecting all eleven crates allows players to receive the Crate Insurance Agent, No Crate Left Behind, and Azeroth's Greatest Detective achievements, granting the coveted Detective title. This title unlocks the questline leading to the Incognitro Felcycle mount.
Earning the Detective Title After the WoW Anniversary
- Locate Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei NPC, and their clue board in Dornogal. They are situated between the Delver's Headquarters and the stairs to Foundation Hall.
- Use the clues on Alyx's board to find the eleven missing Celebration Crates. Players must be level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests but need to reach level 68 to access Dornogal.
- Return six crates for the Crate Insurance Agent achievement, and eleven crates for No Crate Left Behind, Azeroth's Greatest Detective, and the Detective title.
While the Incognitro mount questline remains accessible post-event, the Detective title was a prerequisite. Alyx's relocation ensures players can still obtain this title and subsequently unlock the mount. Unfortunately, other Guest Relations quests and related achievements (Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager, I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats, and their associated transmogs) are no longer available due to their reliance on the now-removed event areas. The future availability of these rewards remains uncertain.
