Warframe: 1999's March Update: Techrot Encore Brings Boy Band Bosses and More!
Get ready for a blast from the past (and the future!) as Warframe: 1999 receives a major update this March: Techrot Encore. This update, revealed during a Digital Extremes devstream, introduces the 60th Warframe, Temple, alongside four new Protoframes and a host of other additions. But the real highlight? The arrival of the Technocyte Coda – the boy band On-Lyne, now terrifying cybernetic adversaries!
Fans of the Warframe: 1999 ARG will recognize On-Lyne, who have traded their pop star image for a more…lethal one, becoming the newest Lich adversaries. Fortunately, players will be well-equipped to face this threat. Techrot Encore includes four new Scaldra weapons, offering diverse combat options. Furthermore, the update features enhancements to the Romance & Relationships system, a new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin, and the previously mentioned Protoframes and Warframe.
Warframe: 1999's unique Y2K aesthetic continues to charm, and the "boy band turned cybernetic monsters" enemy concept is undeniably intriguing. But the fun doesn't stop there! Leading up to the March update, players can enjoy the return of Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast (starting February 6th), new skins, and Nightwave Vol. 8, all offering additional rewards.
