VIVA NOBOTS, the stealth action game, is now available for public alpha testing on Steam. The playtest will be active for two weeks, from April 24th to May 8th, 2025, ending at 8:59 AM JST. To participate, visit the VIVA NOBOTS Steam store page and click the "Request Access" button to gain immediate entry to the test.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support. If you get the opportunity to try VIVA NOBOTS during this phase, we would be delighted to hear your feedback," announced developer and publisher SHUEISHA GAMES in their Steam news update. "Depending on the results of this user test, we hope to move closer toward an official launch!"
Sneak, Steal, and Reveal!
This engaging multiplayer game challenges players to secretly plunder valuable treasures while staying alert to rival contestants in 16-player matches. Each participant disguises themselves as a NOBOT—an undercover treasure hunter—blending in among NPC excavation robots within ancient ruins. Your mission is to collect as much treasure as possible to climb the wanted leaderboard, all while avoiding detection. Mimic the behavior of NPC bots while discreetly digging for loot and engaging in a slot machine-style roulette minigame to earn not just treasures, but also helpful buffs.
Players can unveil competing NOBOTs attempting to escape by using the Doubt Gun, which reveals their true identity and removes them from the match. Successfully exposing a rival grants extra bounty rewards and any treasure they were carrying. Be cautious—accidentally targeting a real NPC robot will result in penalties. Genuine security bots also patrol the area, so move carefully and quietly to maintain your cover.
Victory is achieved either by escaping the ruins undetected with your collected treasure or by exposing three rivals to unlock a "Victory Lap," declaring you the match champion. Only the most skilled NOBOT will triumph!
