Obtaining Nightmare Crownless: A Step-by-Step Guide
Unlocking Nightmare Crownless requires completing the "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" quest and an additional step.
1. Completing "Ruins Where Shadows Roam"
Unlike typical quests, "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" isn't initiated by an NPC. Access it through:
- Exploration Progress: Open your map, locate the compass icon (top-left), and select the Penitent's End region in Rinascita. The quest will be listed in the Exploration Progress menu.
2. Completing "Quest of Faith" (Optional, but Recommended)
"Quest of Faith" is an optional quest tied to "Ruins Where Shadows Roam." It involves defeating four enemies in Penitent's End. Start by:

Resonance Beacon: Locate the Resonance Beacon across the broken bridge in Wailing Ascent. Interact with the prompt near the circular arena.

Defeating Questless Knights: This will initiate a fight. Lure the knights near lit Macabre Torches. Reignite torches by using Fae Ignis enemies. Avoid using high-damage skills near torches to prevent extinguishing them.
3. Locating Dream Patrols
After completing "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" (and optionally "Quest of Faith"), locate all four Dream Patrols in Penitent's End. Completing these patrols is optional but provides additional resources. Their locations are shown in the image below.
4. Unlocking Nightmare Crownless
Once all four Dream Patrols are located, Nightmare Crownless will appear on your map within the ruins north of Penitent's End.
Important Note on Enhanced Absorption Charges
Nightmare Echoes utilize Enhanced Absorption charges, boosting Echo drop rates. Players receive only 15 charges weekly, so manage them efficiently if building multiple characters.
