Despite the cancellation of the planned Driver live-action series, Ubisoft assures fans that other Driver franchise projects are actively under development. Read on for the latest updates.
Ubisoft Remains Committed to the Driver Franchise
Ubisoft has officially confirmed to Game File that the live-action Driver TV series is no longer in production. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project aimed to expand the Driver universe, as stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik. The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary, in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed the termination of the Binge partnership.
However, Ubisoft has confirmed its continued commitment to the Driver franchise, stating that it is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise." While specifics remain undisclosed, further announcements are promised. Stay tuned for future Driver news!
