This much-anticipated narrative expansion is slated for release in Winter 2024 across all current platforms. Set against the backdrop of a gritty, alternate Earth in 1999, the storyline is brimming with secrets and shrouded in mystery. Players will team up with six iconic Protoframes on a mission to hunt down Dr. Entrati before the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve.
The good news for fans is that they won't have to wait until winter to dive into the action. This August, the 1999 Prologue Quest, titled 'The Lotus Eaters,' will be available on all platforms. Alongside this, Sevagoth Prime will be released, complete with exclusive weapons and accessories, adding more excitement to the mix.

TennoCon 2024 also unveiled a slew of other exciting updates. Meet Cyte-09, the new Warframe. This former fortune hunter turned sharpest marksman on Arthur’s team, complete with a stylish beret, will bring his skills from 1999 into the present-day Origin System, showcasing what a seasoned sharpshooter can do.
Another highlight was the announcement of the Infested 90’s Boy Band Hunts. Infested Liches will be styled after the 90’s boy band On-lyne, featuring a special appearance by Nick Apostolides from Resident Evil 4. Additionally, new mounts like the Atomicyle were introduced, offering players a cool ride that can drift, bullet-jump, and even explode.
Moreover, TennoCon 2024 announced the upcoming Warframe: 1999 Anime Short, set to release in 2024. Animation studio THE LINE is collaborating with Digital Extremes to bring the Warframe: 1999 universe to life in anime form.
