The Tachyon Medal is a crucial late-game item, integral to a challenging and extensive side quest. Obtaining it is just the first step; its true purpose unfolds later in your journey. Here's a comprehensive guide to acquiring and using this powerful artifact.
Where To Find the Tachyon Medal in Fantasian Neo Dimension
The Tachyon Medal is first mentioned in Shangri-La and is the final item you'll need before confronting the ultimate boss. To acquire it, progress through the main storyline until you reach Sanctum, located in the God Realm via the Communication Network. Within the Mirror of Order, you'll face God's Predator, a formidable but conquerable boss. Be prepared, as it frequently summons allies and employs a devastating "Consume" attack that drains 90% of your health. Kina's healing abilities will be invaluable here. Equipping Petrification Null gear will significantly ease the battle.
Leo's Fire Samidare +2 should quickly dispatch summoned enemies. Consider bringing Cherryl, whose "Concentrate" and "Charge" abilities inflict massive damage.
After defeating God's Predator, proceed to the Laboratory via the Balcony. This area is filled with rubble. To your right, you'll find a chest containing the coveted Tachyon Medal.
Utilizing the Tachyon Medal in Fantasian Neo Dimension
The Tachyon Medal's activation requires two prerequisites. First, you must reach the Altar in Shangri-La. Second, you must complete the Cinderella Tri-Stars side quest. These elusive stars appear in eight locations, the first two encountered during the main story:
- En New District
- Midi Toy Box - Secret Room
- Royal Capital - Main Street
- Frozen Tundra - Center
- Hidden Valley – Duet Path
- Ancient Hill – River
- Nameless Island – Depths
- Shangri-La – Fallen City
Defeat the bosses in the order listed above. After your final victory in Shangri-La, you can open three chests beneath the Altar. One contains the Holy Belt, granting All Ailment Null.
Once all chests are opened, a glowing door will appear, prompting you to use the Tachyon Medal to rewind time. Possessing the Medal initiates NG+ from this point. Your levels, items, and equipment are carried over. While enemies are stronger, this shouldn't be a major concern, especially if you've completed all side quests beforehand. Using the Tachyon Medal also unlocks the Time Reverse Trophy/Achievement, allowing you to restart your quest to save the Human Realm.
