Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in *Madame Web*, is set to star in the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit video game *Split Fiction*. The film, which is being brought to life by Story Kitchen—the team behind the successful Sonic films—is now taking shape with a talented crew. Jon M. Chu, the director of *Wicked*, is at the helm, and the screenplay is penned by the dynamic duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, known for their work on *Deadpool & Wolverine*. As the project moves forward, Story Kitchen is presenting this impressive talent package to Hollywood studios, anticipating a competitive bidding war.
A key question on everyone's mind is which of the two sisters from the game—Zoe or Mio—Sydney Sweeney will portray. According to Variety, the decision is still pending.

*Split Fiction*, developed by Hazelight and led by designer Josef Fares, has been a massive success since its launch in March, selling over 2 million copies in just one week. It's also slated to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2. IGN's review praised the game, awarding it a 9/10 and describing it as "an expertly crafted co-op adventure that pinballs from one genre extreme to another, Split Fiction is a rollercoaster of constantly refreshed gameplay ideas and styles – and one that’s very hard to walk away from."
Hazelight's success doesn't stop with *Split Fiction*. Another of their games, *It Takes Two*, which sold 23 million copies, is also being adapted into a film, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson potentially starring. While there's always a risk that these projects might not come to fruition, the current wave of successful video game adaptations suggests Hollywood is eager to capitalize on this trend.
Story Kitchen is not stopping at *Split Fiction*. Last year, they announced a film adaptation of Square Enix's *Just Cause*, with *Blue Beetle* director Ángel Manuel Soto attached. They are also working on adaptations of *Dredge: The Movie*, *Kingmakers*, *Sleeping Dogs*, and even a live-action Toys 'R' Us movie.
Meanwhile, Hazelight is already teasing their next game, keeping fans eagerly anticipating what's next from the innovative studio.
