Rocksteady Studios has officially released the final major content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with Season 4 Episode 8, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This marks the end of new content development for the game, with the last patch scheduled for January 14, 2025. Despite its initial launch in February 2024 receiving largely negative feedback, Rocksteady has decided to cease further updates after less than a year. However, the game's servers will continue to operate, ensuring that players can still enjoy Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League online with friends.
The unexpected shift to a live-service model was widely cited as a contributing factor to the game's rapid decline. Rocksteady announced the end of support on December 9, 2024, confirming that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the final chapter. Following a brief period of server maintenance, players can now dive into the new content, titled "Balance." This update introduces an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, a variety of new Notorious weapons, and a concluding Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Additionally, the patch includes crucial bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, enhancing the overall experience.
Although no new content will be added after this update, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League remains playable offline thanks to the Season 4 Episode 7 update, which enabled offline play for all released content, including the main campaign and seasonal story missions. Rocksteady has not planned to shut down the game's servers entirely, but if that happens in the future, the offline mode ensures continued access for fans.
For those yet to experience the game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is currently available on PlayStation Plus until February 3, alongside The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.

LIBRA INFAMY SET
The Infamy Set for Episode 8 draws inspiration from Libra, a DC Super-Villain obsessed with balance. The set applies Scales of Libra stacks to enemies, increasing both the damage they deal and receive by 50% per stack, promoting a high-risk, high-reward playstyle.
NOTORIOUS WEAPONS
Complementing Libra’s Infamy Set, The Silencer’s Complete Silence weapons offer a 200% damage bonus to enemies with Scales of Libra stacks. The Alt-Fire mode delivers a 1,000% bonus and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100% within the zone, perfect for crowd control.
Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra, and have a chance to electrify, making them ideal for devastating multiple foes at once.
Chronos’ Equilibrium enhances the glass cannon playstyle, boosting damage by 25% for every 1% of missing Shield, encouraging players to stay in the thick of battle for maximum impact.
