Squad Busters is gearing up for a major shift with the upcoming removal of its Win Streaks feature. That’s right—no more chasing endless consecutive victories just to earn those shiny extra rewards. The days of climbing a relentless win ladder are coming to an end. But that’s not all; this update brings a wave of other changes that are set to reshape the player experience.
Why Is Win Streaks Ending and When?
The decision to remove Win Streaks comes down to player experience. While the system was designed to reward consistent performance, it ended up doing the opposite for many—adding pressure and turning what should be fun into a stressful grind. Instead of feeling like champions, players often felt burdened by the need to maintain their streaks at all costs.
Starting December 16th, Win Streaks will be officially retired from Squad Busters. However, your legacy remains intact: your highest recorded streak will still be displayed on your profile as a permanent badge of honor.
To soften the blow, the developers are handing out exclusive emotes to players who hit key milestone streaks before the cutoff date. These milestones include 0–9, 10, 25, 50, and 100 wins. Log in before December 16th to make sure you don’t miss out.
Now, what about the Coins you’ve spent to maintain your streaks? Unfortunately, there will be no refunds. The development team explains that Coins play a crucial role in unlocking additional characters (babies) from Reward Chests, and issuing refunds could disrupt the in-game economy. It might also create imbalance between free-to-play players and those who spend real money—something the team wants to avoid.
As expected with any major change, the community is split. Some players welcome the move, applauding the reduction in pay-to-win pressure. Others are disappointed, especially since the farewell rewards don’t quite match the effort they put into building long streaks.
