Fans of the web-slinger have a lot to look forward to, as the Disney+ animated series, "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man," has already been greenlit for Season 2 and Season 3. The show follows Peter Parker during his first year in high school, as he navigates the challenges of adolescence and the discovery of his superpowers.
In an exciting update from Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, it was revealed during an interview with The Movie Podcast that the scripts for Season 2 are complete, and half of the animated storyboards are already finished. This is despite Season 1 not even premiering until January 29. Furthermore, Season 3 has been officially greenlit, showing Marvel's strong commitment to the series.
"I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters and I've now read all of the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics," Winderbaum expressed. He praised the work of lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell, noting that the show builds its narrative "brick by brick" in a way that starts to pay off significantly. "What [Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off. And you feel it in Season 1. You grow connected to these characters so that when everything starts to lock into place and pay off by the end of the season. I feel it in my very soul and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

"Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" focuses on Peter Parker's freshman year as he gains his superpowers. It remains to be seen whether Season 2 and Season 3 will continue to follow his high school journey year by year, or if Marvel has other plans to expand on Peter's freshman adventures.
