Sony has officially unveiled the PC specifications for The Last of Us Part II Remastered ahead of its eagerly anticipated release on April 3. Alongside this, they've detailed PSN sign-in incentives and introduced new content for No Return Mode, which will be available on both PC and PlayStation 5.
In a detailed post on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog, with the support of Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy, outlined the features that enhance the PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. This release comes a year after the game's debut on the PlayStation 5.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:
Graphics and Performance:
- Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution support
- AMD FSR 3.1 and AMD FSR 4 support with upscaling and frame generation
- VSync and framerate cap options, including an uncapped framerate option
- DirectStorage support
- Adjustable settings for Texture Quality, LOD Distance Range, Volumetric Quality, Shadow Quality, Ambient Occlusion, and Reflections Quality
Display and Audio:
- Support for Ultrawide monitors, including 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and 48:9 resolutions with triple-monitor compatibility
- 4K resolution support
- 3D audio for an immersive experience
Control Customization:
- Full support for keyboard and mouse, with extensive control customization options
- Full gamepad support, including DualSense controllers with haptic feedback
Sony emphasized that The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, tailored to deliver the best experience across a variety of hardware, from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices.

New Content in No Return Mode:
Naughty Dog is expanding No Return Mode with two new characters from The Last of Us Part I: Bill and Marlene.
- Bill follows a "Smuggler" playstyle, equipped with a custom pump shotgun accessible from dead drops and double rewards from drops. He's strong against melee attacks but lacks the ability to dodge.
- Marlene adopts a "Risk Taker" playstyle, featuring a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.

Additionally, four new maps will enrich the No Return experience:
- Overlook: Set high above Seattle, offering vertical gameplay and reminiscent of a Seraphites encounter.
- School: The abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina confront the W.L.F.
- Streets: Located in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
- Nest: An Infected-infested building familiar to Abby players.

All new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.
PSN Sign-In Incentives:
Sony has made PSN sign-in optional for The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PC. However, signing in offers access to PlayStation overlay, PSN Trophies, and 50 in-game points for activating bonus features. Additionally, a new skin for Ellie, featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, is available to those who sign in. PS5 players can also unlock this skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.

In a recent interview, The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann discussed Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a project in development for four years. The game, set in an alternate historical timeline, explores themes of faith and religion and features Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun.
