Solo Leveling: Arise's 2025 Championship prelims begin February 21st, pitting players against the clock for the fastest clear times. The top competitors will vie for a substantial prize pool at the April finals.
Competitive gaming is ubiquitous these days, and for good reason. Esports significantly impacts a game's longevity, and Netmarble's Solo Leveling: Arise Championship 2025 (announced earlier this year) aims to leverage this for their popular manhwa-inspired game.
The Solo Leveling: Arise Championship is a surprising but welcome addition. Starting February 21st and running until March 9th, preliminary applications open to players with 1000+ points in Battlefield of Time season 7. The competition features Asian and International leagues, utilizing four Battlefield of Time maps.
Players race through these maps, with their fastest times combined to determine rankings. The top eight from each league advance to the SLC grand finals in Korea on April 12th, competing for a 20 million KRW prize pool.
A Solo Competitive Scene?
While a competitive championship for a primarily single-player game might seem unusual, Solo Leveling's source material's popularity and South Korea's vibrant esports scene suggest this tournament will attract significant viewership.
