A recent Sims teaser subtly referenced the first two games in the series, sparking widespread fan speculation about a potential revival. While official confirmation is pending, Kotaku sources hint at a possible announcement later this week: digital PC re-releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.
The possibility of console versions remains open, and the timing of such a release is yet to be determined. However, given the potent nostalgia factor and potential for significant revenue, it seems highly probable that EA will capitalize on this opportunity.
The original Sims 1 and 2 are now quite dated, and legitimate access to these titles is extremely limited. Their return would undoubtedly be a welcome event for long-time fans.
