Mask Around: The Sequel to Mask Up Delivers More Gooey Action!
Following the 2020 release of the quirky roguelike platformer, Mask Up, developer Rouli returns with its sequel, Mask Around. This time, the signature yellow ooze is back, but with a significant twist: you'll be engaging in both intense gun battles and close-quarters brawling.
Remember the original Mask Up, where you evolved from a simple puddle of yellow goo into a powerful, gooey powerhouse? Mask Around builds upon that foundation, adding 2D shooting mechanics to the mix. Players can seamlessly switch between ranged combat and melee attacks, utilizing their goo abilities strategically.
However, the precious yellow ooze remains a limited resource, demanding careful management, especially during challenging boss encounters. Keep a close eye on that meter!
Mask Around is Available Now!
Currently available on Google Play, Mask Around represents a notable evolution from its predecessor. While retaining the core gameplay, it introduces significant enhancements, including refined graphics and a more strategic approach to resource management. The addition of weapons provides a crucial backup when your goo supply runs low.
While I haven't played the original, Mask Around appears to be a substantial improvement, offering a more dynamic and engaging experience.
