Good news for Gundam fans! Despite a radio silence since 2022, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is far from cancelled. An upcoming network test, opening up 1500 spots to US players, is on the horizon!
Applications are now open until December 7th, offering a first look at the game from January 23rd to 28th, 2025. This marks the first opportunity for US players to experience the latest strategy JRPG in the popular franchise, previously limited to Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal lets players command a vast roster of pilots and mecha from the iconic Gundam universe in strategic, grid-based battles. The game's impressive scale is a hallmark of the SD Gundam series, known for its extensive inclusion of characters and mobile suits.
While the Gundam franchise enjoys global recognition, the SD Gundam line might be less familiar to some. "Super Deformed," these charming, stylized mecha kits once even surpassed the original Gundam in popularity!
US Release on the Horizon
The new SD Gundam title is sure to excite fans. However, Bandai Namco's Gundam games have a history of inconsistent quality and premature cancellations. Let's hope SD Gundam G Generation Eternal (a mouthful, indeed!) proves to be a high-quality addition to the series.
