PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup: Stage One Concludes, 12 Teams Advance
The first stage of the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (EWC), held as part of the larger Gamers8 event in Saudi Arabia, has concluded. The initial field of 24 teams has been narrowed down to 12, setting the stage for a thrilling final showdown. These 12 teams will now compete for a share of the $3 million prize pool.
For those unfamiliar with the EWC, it's an esports tournament showcasing some of the world's most popular games. PUBG Mobile's participation highlights the growing esports scene in Saudi Arabia. Currently, Alliance leads the pack.
Global Impact and Future Events:
While the EWC's overall global impact remains to be seen, the PUBG Mobile World Cup has generated significant buzz. It's important to note, however, that this event isn't the largest on PUBG Mobile's esports calendar. With other major events scheduled for later this year, the EWC's prominence might be eclipsed.
The 12 teams eliminated from the main competition will have a second chance. They'll participate in the Survival Stage on July 23rd and 24th, battling for two coveted spots in the final stage. The final stage itself will take place from July 27th to 28th. This promises to be a highly competitive and exciting conclusion to the tournament.
