Prepare for a mind-bending challenge unlike any other! Tiny Little Keys' debut game, Machine Yearning, throws you into a robotic world where you, a human, must outsmart the robots at their own game. This isn't your typical human task; it's a battle of wits against a captcha system designed to weed out impostors. Founded by a former Google Machine Learning Engineer, this intriguing game from the American studio launches September 12th.
What is Machine Yearning?
In Machine Yearning, you'll apply for a job usually reserved for robots. As a human, your mission is to conquer a captcha designed to detect those clever enough to try to fool it. The game aims to test your memory and processing speed, pushing your brain to (at least) 2005 levels of performance.
Initially, you’ll connect words with shapes. As you progress, the challenge intensifies with increasing complexity, adding more words and colors to the mix, demanding you remember those earlier connections.
The reward for your efforts? Customizing your robots with a variety of hats! Think archer hats, cowboy hats, and even straw hats. Check out the game in action below!
Worth a Try?
Initially showcased at Ludum Dare, a prominent indie game jam, Machine Yearning won top awards for "most fun title" and "most innovative title". For more information, visit the official website.
Launching September 12th on Android, this free-to-play game promises a unique and challenging experience. While it may not actually transform your brain into a supercomputer (we're kidding!), it's certainly worth checking out! Be sure to see our other news before you go.
