The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege fans, marked by significant announcements. This year's highlight was the unveiling of Rauora, the newest Attack Operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. A clever twist is the trigger mechanism: attackers can open the shield in one second, while defenders face a three-second delay—a potentially game-changing difference, especially when the defuser is planted.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and high-capacity magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers starting next week, with a wider release on the live servers to follow.
