Quilts and Cats of Calico is coming to mobile soon, wrapping you in a warm, cozy world of fabric scraps, charming cats, and thoughtful quilting. Publisher Monster Couch and developer Flatout Games are bringing this board game-inspired puzzler to players soon.
Quilts and Cats of Calico is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on February 11th. The mobile release won’t be far behind—Android and iOS launches are set for March 11th. The game first arrived on PC in March 2024, followed by a Switch release in December.
What’s Quilts and Cats of Calico About?
Inspired by Studio Ghibli animations, the game features calming visuals that invite players to dive in. Gameplay centers on crafting the perfect quilt by matching patterns and colors.
Climb the quilting ranks while navigating a rival with ambitious plans that involve both humans and cats.
Beyond its beauty, there are clever strategies to boost your score. Your designs must impress the game’s most discerning critics—the cats.
Each discerning little furball has unique tastes in bedding. They might completely ignore your efforts if they’re not charmed—or, if they love it, they’ll settle right in the middle of your creation.
The cats are fully interactive. Pet them, watch them roam, or gently shoo them away when they decide your quilt is their new nap spot.
A variety of in-game cats and customization options let you create your own feline companion. Choose everything from fur color to stylish little outfits. See the game in action right here.
Is it the Same as the Board Game? ---------------------------------Quilts and Cats of Calico isn’t a direct digital version of the board game Calico. It introduces fresh twists—campaign mode adds rule variations, new mechanics, and a unique setting.
The game features cross-platform multiplayer with ranked matches, weekly challenges, and leaderboards. Solo mode offers AI opponents across multiple difficulty levels.
