PUBG Mobile has announced the opening of registration for its 2025 Global Open, offering amateur teams and players worldwide a chance to compete for a share of a $500,000 prize pool. Registration is open until February 9th.
The main event will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from April 12th to 13th. This tournament is part of PUBG Mobile Esports' ambitious plan to cultivate its grassroots competitive scene, with a reported $10 million investment allocated to prize pools, third-party tournament incentives, and more.
Participation requires success in a series of open qualifiers. Teams will progress through multiple stages, with only a select few advancing to the main event in Uzbekistan.
Open to All
Building and maintaining a thriving esports ecosystem is a significant challenge, but Krafton's efforts to foster a grassroots competitive scene for PUBG Mobile appear to be paying off. While competition will undoubtedly be fierce with such a substantial prize pool at stake, this tournament offers a significant opportunity for aspiring players. This initiative comes ahead of PUBG Mobile's return to the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating a commitment to engaging a wider audience.
