The first wave of 2025 prebuilt gaming PCs featuring the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 and 5090 graphics cards are now available for purchase. Leading retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg, Adorama, and B&H Photo have unveiled their latest offerings today. If you're in the market for a high-performance gaming system equipped with these cutting-edge GPUs, this is your prime opportunity to grab one. Major OEMs like Dell (Alienware), HP (Omen), and Lenovo (Legion) are expected to release their own models later in Q1, but for now, these prebuilt systems are your go-to choice.
If you're after a standalone GPU, you've landed on the wrong page. Be sure to check out our comprehensive RTX 5090 and 5080 preorder guide to find out which retailers will stock them. Be warned, though: launch-day stocks often sell out in minutes or even hours. Retailers have already flagged potential inventory shortages, and recent Nvidia GPU launches have been plagued by bots snapping up large quantities for resale at inflated prices.

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell showcased the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis maintains a design similar to the 2024 R16 model but features minor aesthetic and cooling enhancements along with updated components. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window covers the entire side panel, eliminating side panel vents. Air intakes are positioned at the bottom and front, promoting a positive airflow design for a cleaner interior. Inside, you'll find a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.

Boutique PC Retailers with Built-to-Order RTX 50XX Systems
Several retailers now offer the option to customize systems with RTX 5090 and/or 5080 GPUs through their configurators. New RTX 50-series GPU configurations are available at iBuyPower, Origin PC, Maingear, Starforge Systems, NZXT, and Digital Storm. While these built-to-order systems are readily available, they can be quite expensive and might not offer the best value for money.
Dell (Alienware), HP, and Lenovo Prebuilt PCs Coming Later
The major OEMs, Dell (Alienware), HP, and Lenovo, won't feature the new RTX 50-series GPUs in their prebuilt gaming desktops until later in the year. At CES 2025, Dell showcased its Alienware Area-51, expected to be equipped with Nvidia's new GPUs and to launch sometime in Q1. HP plans to offer the RTX 5090 and 5080 options in its flagship Omen 45L, hopefully by mid or late February. Lenovo has yet to announce when it will start integrating these new GPUs into its Legion Tower gaming desktops, so no expected launch date is currently available.
Our RTX 5090 FE and 5080 FE Reviews Are Live
Nvidia officially announced the 50-series GPUs at CES 2025, focusing on enhanced AI features alongside modest hardware-based raster performance improvements. DLSS 4 technology is touted to quadruple frame rates with minimal visual compromise. While these new GPUs offer a performance boost, opinions vary on their value for PC gamers compared to the previous RTX 40-series.
In our review of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 FE, Jackie Thomas stated, "The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has officially taken the performance crown from the RTX 4090, albeit with a less significant leap than previous generations. In terms of traditional non-AI gaming performance, the RTX 5090 shows one of the smallest generational uplifts recently seen. However, in games that support it, DLSS 4 delivers substantial performance gains – you just have to accept that 75% of the frames are AI-generated."
In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie offers a similar perspective, "For gamers already owning a high-end graphics card from recent years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 may not justify an upgrade – it barely outperforms the RTX 4080, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, if you're working with an older graphics card and seeking a significant performance boost, the RTX 5080 delivers, especially if you're open to Nvidia's AI enhancements."
