Lies of P's director, Ji-Won Choi, recently treated fans to a heartfelt message—a blend of gratitude and exciting teases for upcoming content. This message, celebrating the game's anniversary, revealed details about the forthcoming DLC and even hinted at a sequel.
The DLC, currently under development amid Korea's summer heat, promises to expand upon the base game's success while addressing previously identified issues. Choi emphasized the team's commitment to building on strengths and improving weaknesses, stating, "For the DLC of Lies of P and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow." His gratitude extended to both the dedicated fanbase and his colleagues at Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.
Accompanying the announcement were tantalizing glimpses into the DLC's content. Concept art depicts P in a snowy location, gazing up at a lighthouse – a scene brimming with potential peril. A new track from the DLC's soundtrack, "Lisrim" (originally composed in 2022 by onoken), was also shared, its music video featuring a clockwork-weapon-wielding character rescuing a captive girl, echoing the base game's style.
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime during the second half of 2024, alongside other titles including The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.
Further fueling anticipation, a previously released eight-minute video showcased early concept art, revealing environments such as a massive industrial facility and a treacherous shipwreck. Choi concluded his message with a promise to transform fan anticipation into delight, assuring players that the DLC is just the first step toward a full-fledged sequel.
