What Is a Tour Pass in *Pokemon GO*?
The Tour Pass is a fresh addition introduced with the Global event for *Pokemon GO* Tour: Unova. This feature allows players to participate in various tasks to accumulate Tour Points, which can then be used to unlock rewards, boost your rank, and enhance event bonuses throughout the GO Tour Unova event.
The Tour Pass is free of charge, and you'll receive one automatically when the *Pokemon GO* Tour: Unova event kicks off on February 24 at 10 AM local time. However, for those looking for an extra edge, there's a paid version called the Tour Pass Deluxe. Priced at $14.99 USD or its local equivalent, it offers an instant encounter with Victini, along with "upgraded rewards and faster progression" through the Tour Pass levels.
How Do You Earn Tour Points & What Do They Do?

Tour Points are earned through in-game activities reminiscent of the research tasks we've been accustomed to. Activities like catching Pokemon, engaging in raids, and hatching eggs will help you rack up points. Additionally, special Pass Tasks, which refresh daily during GO Tour, provide another avenue for earning more points.
Collecting Tour Points unlocks a variety of rewards, including items and rank advancements within the Tour Pass tiers system. As you progress through the ranks, you'll unlock rewards such as Pokemon encounters, candy, Poke Balls, and more. Moreover, ranking up will amplify your Catch XP bonus during *Pokemon GO* Tour: Unova:
- 1.5× Catch XP upon reaching Tier 2
- 2× Catch XP upon reaching Tier 3
- 3× Catch XP upon reaching Tier 4
While Niantic hasn't revealed all the rewards associated with earning Tour Points and increasing your rank, they've promised more details will be forthcoming. Currently, we know that the top reward in the free Tour Pass will grant you an encounter with Zorua featuring a special background. In contrast, the paid Tour Pass Deluxe offers a unique final reward: a new item called a Lucky Trinket.
What Is a Lucky Trinket?

The Lucky Trinket is an exclusive reward for those who opt for the Tour Pass Deluxe. It's the ultimate prize on the deluxe path, obtainable only by dedicated players during the GO Tour Global event. This one-time-use item has a magical ability: it can instantly turn one of your friends into a Lucky Friend, allowing you to trade for a Lucky Pokemon without needing to reach Best Friends status. You must, however, be at least Great Friends to utilize this item.
Lucky Trinkets acquired during GO Tour: Unova will expire on March 9, 2025, giving you a limited window to use this powerful new tool.
