Dive into the competitive world of Pokémon Unite, a mobile and Nintendo Switch game boasting a thrilling online ranking system. Players engage in solo and team battles, showcasing their Pokémon mastery and climbing the ranks. This guide breaks down the Pokémon Unite rank system, explaining each tier and how to progress.
Pokémon Unite features six ranks, each subdivided into multiple classes for gradual advancement. Higher ranks naturally have more classes than lower ones. Crucially, rank progression is exclusively through ranked matches; quick or standard matches won't contribute to your climb. The ranks are:
- Beginner Rank (3 Classes)
- Great Rank (4 Classes)
- Expert Rank (5 Classes)
- Veteran Rank (5 Classes)
- Ultra Rank (5 Classes)
- Master Rank
Getting Started
Begin your ranked journey at Beginner Rank. To unlock ranked matches, you'll need Trainer Level 6, a Fair Play score of 80, and five Pokémon licenses. Once you meet these requirements, you're ready to enter the fray!
Performance Points and Diamond Points
Performance Points (PP) are earned in each ranked match, with rewards varying based on performance, sportsmanship, participation, and win streaks. The PP range per match is 5-15 points for performance, 10 for sportsmanship, 10 for participation, and 10-50 for win streaks. Each rank has a PP cap. Reaching this cap awards one Diamond Point (DP) per match, essential for rank advancement. Here's the breakdown of PP caps per rank:
- Beginner Rank: 80 Points
- Great Rank: 120 Points
- Expert Rank: 200 Points
- Veteran Rank: 300 Points
- Ultra Rank: 400 Points
- Master Rank: N/A
Advancing and Rewards
Diamond Points are the key to climbing. Four Diamond Points upgrade your class within a rank. Maxing out your class in a rank propels you to the next. You earn one DP per ranked match win and lose one per loss. Players with maxed PP also gain one DP per match. At the end of each season, you'll receive Aeos Tickets based on your highest achieved rank, redeemable for items and upgrades in the Aeos Emporium. Certain ranks also offer unique seasonal rewards.
So, sharpen your Pokémon skills, strategize your battles, and conquer the ranks to claim your Pokémon Unite dominance and the best rewards! Pokémon Unite is available now on mobile devices and Nintendo Switch.
