Niantic is launching a special end-of-year Catch-a-thon event in Pokémon Go, giving trainers another shot at catching Community Day Pokémon and earning exclusive rewards, including shiny versions of featured creatures.
This event runs December 21st and 22nd, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. Here's the lineup:
- December 21st: Bellsprout, Chansey, Goomy, Rowlet, Litten, and Bounsweet.
- December 22nd: Mankey, Ponyta, Galarian Ponyta, Sewaddle, Tynamo, and Popplio.
During the final ten minutes of each hour, trainers can encounter Porygon, Cyndaquil, Bagon, and Beldum. The event also features 2x XP for catching Pokémon and 2x Stardust, plus additional rewards.
Following a year of significant updates, including Gigantamax Pokémon, Niantic is ending the year with one last major community event. While the timing might seem close to the holidays, dedicated Pokémon Go players are sure to appreciate this opportunity.
