What's in the Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 Event?
The New Year's event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there are no new Pokémon, Shiny variants, or costumes, there's still plenty of festive fun.
Expect wild spawns of Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (in a party hat), all with boosted Shiny rates. Event bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and celebratory fireworks.
Tier One raids feature a snowflake-hatted Pikachu, while Tier Three raids offer party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet, both with increased Shiny chances. Themed Pokémon will also appear in Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases.
