Elden Ring Nightreign's First Network Test: Details and Registration
Get ready, Tarnished! The first network test for Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco's upcoming co-op Soulsborne title, begins accepting registrations on January 10th, 2025. This initial beta, however, will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for a 2025 release and focuses on three-player cooperative gameplay within the Lands Between. This limited network test serves as a crucial step in ensuring a smooth online experience.
Registration Process:
- Starting January 10th, visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website.
- Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
- Await a confirmation email.
- Participate in the test, scheduled for February 2025 (exact dates forthcoming).
Platform Limitations:
While Elden Ring Nightreign targets PS4, Xbox One, and PC alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, this initial network test will only be available on the latter two platforms. Cross-platform play is not supported, meaning players will only be matched with others on the same console. Furthermore, progress made during the beta will likely not carry over to the full game. The possibility of future betas remains open.
Gameplay Restrictions:
Elden Ring Nightreign will feature either solo or three-player parties; duo play is not supported. Whether the network test will include any additional gameplay limitations remains to be seen. Further details on the test's duration and specific dates are anticipated in the coming weeks.
