Tactical Adventures has released a free demo for Solasta 2, their upcoming turn-based tactical RPG set within the Dungeons & Dragons universe. This sequel to Solasta: Crown of the Magister allows players to create a party of four heroes and journey through the land of Neokhos, facing an ancient evil while striving for redemption. Player agency is paramount, with choices significantly impacting the narrative.
The demo retains core elements from the original Solasta, such as tactical turn-based combat, extensive character customization, and dynamic NPC interactions. A helpful "Helpful Dice" feature, enabled by default, mitigates frustrating unlucky rolls, although this can be disabled for seasoned players. Strategic use of the environment is key to victory in combat.
Players can enjoy the demo solo or with friends in cooperative multiplayer, similar to Divinity: Original Sin. The demo provides a taste of the diverse class-based challenges and encounters that await in the full game. Tactical Adventures welcomes player feedback to help shape the final release.
The game's system requirements are modest: a minimum of an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580 GPU is recommended for optimal performance.
