Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed a new project: Project R.I.S.E. This isn't simply a relaunch; it's a complete reimagining.
The Details Unveiled
Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. However, its core concept lives on in Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe. Supercell's announcement video, featuring game lead Julien Le Cadre, confirmed Clash Heroes' demise but highlighted Project R.I.S.E.'s multiplayer action RPG focus.

Project R.I.S.E. will share similarities with Clash Heroes but is a completely new development. Players will team up in three-person squads to conquer The Tower, a mysterious location with procedurally generated floors. The objective is to ascend as many levels as possible. Unlike its predecessor, the emphasis is on cooperative gameplay and diverse character selection, shifting away from solo PvE dungeon crawling.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
