Cats & Bites Studio has brought a similar experience to mobile devices with their new game, Pet Society Island – a virtual pet simulation game clearly inspired by its Facebook predecessor. For those unfamiliar with the original, Pet Society was a Playfish title boasting 50 million monthly players at its peak. Players customized their virtual pets with clothing and accessories, decorated their homes, and cared for their digital companions. While the original shut down in 2013, several attempts to recreate its charm have followed, and Pet Society Island is the latest.
