People Can Fly, known for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment to work on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. This agreement specifies that Project Delta will be a work-for-hire project, though details beyond this remain under wraps.
The studio is juggling multiple projects, each with its own codename. Among them are Project Gemini in collaboration with Square Enix, which faced layoffs last year; Project Echo with Krafton; Project Red, another project seemingly with Sony; and the VR game, Project Bison, which was just announced as their last venture into VR gaming.
In recent developments, People Can Fly had to suspend work on Project Victoria last December and scale down Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, they canceled Project Dagger, an action-adventure game developed in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.
Despite these adjustments, the studio remains busy with eight ongoing projects, including the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day is yet to be announced, Project Gemini, their collaboration with Square Enix, is slated for a 2026 release.
