Peglin, the addictive Pachinko roguelike, has finally reached its 1.0 milestone on Android, iOS, and PC! After a year-long early access period, the complete game is now available. This is a significant release, especially for those familiar with the early access version.
What Makes Peglin So Engaging?
Developed and published by Red Nexus Games, Peglin offers turn-based gameplay uniquely blending Pachinko mechanics with roguelike elements. It shares similarities with Peggle and Slay the Spire.
Players can choose from four distinct goblin classes: Peglin, Balladin, Roundrel, and Spinventor. The game begins with the green goblin, Peglin, unlocking others as you progress. The core gameplay revolves around Peglin's quest for revenge against dragons who've stolen his gold, using orbs to navigate levels filled with bouncing pegs, all presented in charming pixel art.
Here's a sneak peek before we explore the 1.0 update:
Peglin 1.0: New Features and Enhancements
The 1.0 update is substantial! It introduces the final Cruciball levels (17-20), significantly more challenging mini-bosses, battles with additional enemies, and unpredictable boss encounters. A new forest mini-boss, the Slime Hive, adds a layer of complexity.
A new rare relic, the Crystal Catalyst, boosts Spinfection damage. Numerous balance adjustments and quality-of-life improvements are also included. For example, the peg board is now reshuffled when facing Thesaurosus, preventing frustratingly poor layouts.
The full version of Peglin 1.0 is now available. Experience battles across forests, fortresses, dragon lairs, and more! Download it from the Google Play Store.
